Pita bread with thermomix

Today we bring you how to make delicious pita bread, to accompany with appetizers

Ingredients for pita bread with thermomix

250 g water
30 g extra virgin olive oil
15 g sugar
20 g fresh yeast pressed, bakery
450 g pastry flour

Preparation of pita bread with thermomix

We put water, oil and sugar in the glass of our thermomix and program
1 minute, 37º, speed 1.

Add the yeast and mix
10 seconds, speed 4.

We add flour and salt and program
30 seconds, speed 6.

Once we have done the previous steps we are going to knead
3 minutes, closed cup, speed Spike.

Preparation of pita bread with thermomix

We put water, oil and sugar in the glass of our thermomix and program
1 minute, 37º, speed 1.

Add the yeast and mix

We add flour and salt and program
30 seconds, speed 6.

Once we have done the previous steps we are going to knead
3 minutes, closed cup, speed Spike.

We remove the dough on the floured work table and make balls of approximately 50 g.

Once done we spread them with a rolling pin or as we do with a bottle forming pancakes of 12 or 14 cm in diameter.

They should leave about 14 or 15 units. (You can make them more or less large, as long as you leave the dough very thin)

Place the pancakes in the oven, on baking paper. Try not to flour the pancakes a lot when shaping them.
We bake for 5 minutes.

Note: the pita bread should be hollow inside (to be able to fill it).
For this it is very important to follow the following recommendations:

– Preheat the oven well.
– Do not let the pancakes get too brown.
– Cover with a damp cloth when leaving the oven.
