Ingredients
For the rice:
350 grams of basmati rice
800 grams of water
2 cloves of garlic
Salt
10 grams of extra virgin olive oil
A small vegetable broth pill (Optional)
For the sauce:
3 medium carrots
1 medium onion
40 grams of extra olive oil
For the varied Tropezones:
3 eggs and salt to taste (optional)
10 thin slices of Iberian ham to make a crispy ham (optional)
100 grams ham or turkey cut into cubes (optional)
100 grams of diced bacon or strips (optional)
100 grams of peeled prawns (optional)
Preparation
We begin the preparation of this wonderful Nelba Rice by placing the onion and carrots cut into pieces in the Thermomix bowl, program.
5 seconds / Speed 5.
Then, with the help of the spatula, lower the remains of crushed onion and carrots that have adhered to the walls of the Thermomix bowl, add a little extra olive oil and program.
7 minutes / Varoma temperature / Spoon speed.
Once the sauce is ready, pour it into a container and reserve.
On the other hand, in the same glass of the thermomix without the need to wash, pour the eggs and salt to taste program.
5 minutes / Varoma temperature / Speed 2.
As soon as the eggs are ready, immediately program.
5 seconds / Speed 5.
Now, reserve these beaten eggs as well.
Once again, in the Thermomix bowl, pour olive oil, garlic, the bouillon cube (be careful with the salt if you add a bouillon cube, since it also contains salt) and pour the suggested measure of rice into the basket basmati, place the basket in position and program.
20 minutes / Varoma temperature / Speed 5.
While the rice is cooking, stir from time to time and, on the other hand, place the sofrito together with the eggs in a deep dish (prawns cooked to your preference if this is the case).
To make the crispy ham, place the thin slices of Iberian ham on a microwave-safe plate and on absorbent paper, overlap several layers of ham slices and paper, program the microwave for 6 to 8 minutes at maximum power, taking care that these do not burn.
Once ready, remove carefully, cut them into strips and reserve.
When the rice is ready, pour it into the bowl along with the sofrito and eggs, mix well, add the crispy ham, mix, serve and enjoy.
