Many of us thought that the preparation of jams consisted of elaborate cooking techniques to obtain a good texture or packaging to prolong its time and also its thickness.
But that is not so, if we give it our homemade touch jam It looks very good, with the same texture as a commercial one and by treating the container properly, we can even manage to keep it without spoiling for a few months.
In this post we will show you how to make a very simple pear jam with a thermomix.

300 grams of sugar
The juice of one lemon
50 grams of water
Preparation of pear jam with thermomix
Wash the pears very well, cut them in halves lengthwise and remove the center (or heart) along with the seeds.
Add the water and the pear halves to the Thermomix bowl, program.
15 minutes / Varoma temperature / Speed 1
When the pears are cooked and soft, drain them and remove them from the Thermomix bowl.
Place them in a pot or bowl and crush them with a potato masher, pressing each pear half very well to extract all the juices, even from the skins.
Now place the pear puree in the Thermomix bowl (previously all the water must be drained) and add the measure of sugar together with the lemon juice, program.
30 minutes / Varoma temperature / Speed 1
Cover the glass of the thermomix but instead of placing the cup, place the basket to prevent the mixture from splashing everywhere.
While the pear puree is cooking, wash and dry some glass jars well, it will be better if you wash them with hot water.
Pour the pear jam into each jar and close tightly.
To prolong the shelf life of jam in containers, place lid down until cool. This will seal the jar well and keep the jam good for a few months.
You can combine this delicious jam with some other ingredients to achieve other desserts or dishes, for example it is used as a filling for a cake or cookies.
