For about 20–24 cookies:

  • 🍪 2 cups all-purpose wheat flour
  • 🍵 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 🤍 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • 🍬 ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 🍯 ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 🥚 1 large egg
  • 🌼 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 🥄 ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt

Step by step preparation

① Beat the butter

In a large bowl, beat the butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until pale, light and fluffy.

② Add egg and vanilla

Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until everything is well integrated.

③ Mix the dry ingredients

In another bowl, combine the flour, matcha, baking soda and salt.

④ Integrate the dough

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture a little at a time, stirring just until combined. Don’t overdress.

⑤ Divide and create the swirl

Divide the dough into two equal parts. In one, add the white chocolate chips. In the other, it leaves the green color of the matcha visible. Lightly bring both masses together to create the swirl effect, without overmixing.

⑥ Cooking in the fryer

Preheat the fryer to 160–170°C. Form dough balls (approx. 1 tablespoon) and place them in the basket with space between them. Cook for 8–10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is soft.

⑦ Cooled

Let the cookies rest for 2–3 minutes in the basket before transferring them to a wire rack to set.
