Although a can of mussels is cheap, always buying some good mussels and being able to pickle them ourselves has a special plus
Also, if we buy them at a good time, they can be very cheap and even of a size that we rarely see in cans. This recipe has mussels
The best months to consume the natural mussel are the months that it has R (from September to April)

Ingredients of Pickled Mussels with Thermomix
- 1 kilo of clean fresh mussels
- 125 grams of white wine
- 125 grams of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 dried bay leaves
- 40 grams of sherry vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon of hot paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation of Pickled Mussels with Thermomix
- Once the mussels are clean, put them in the varoma and cover it
- We put the white wine in our Thermomix bowl with the varoma in its position and program
- 15 minutes / varoma temperature / speed 1
- Remove the varoma and remove the mussels from the shells and reserve them in a bowl.
- Then, we wash our Thermomix bowl to do the following steps
- Put the virgin olive oil, the bay leaf, the pepper and the garlic in the Thermomix bowl and program
- 8 minutes / 100ºC / turn to the left / speed 1
- Add the vinegar, salt, hot pepper, and sweet paprika and program
- 3 minutes / 100ºC / turn to the left / speed 1
- Our marinade will be ready, we pour it on top of the mussels and stir very carefully not to break the mussels
- We wait for the marinade to be cold and let it marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 24 hours.
