Ingredients of ginger candies with thermomix
- 120 grams of dry ginger
- 120 grams of sugar
- A little sugar to coat
- 1200 grams of water
Preparation of ginger candies with thermomix
- We clean and remove the peel and cut the slices of ginger (longitudinal cut since it will be difficult to cut it crosswise due to the fibrous center), you can also cut it into cubes.
- Place only one liter of water in the Thermomix bowl (reserve 200 grams) and the ginger pieces, program.
- 30 minutes / Temperature 100º / reverse rotation / Speed 1
- After this first cooking, drain the ginger but do not discard the remaining water as it is used for other preparations or an infusion.
- Again, in the glass of the thermomix add the remaining 200 grams of water and the measure of sugar, program.
- 20 minutes / Temperature 100º / reverse rotation / Speed 1
- Drain the ginger pieces again and immediately pass them through sugar so that they are coated, place them on a tray with waxed paper or baking paper and let dry for at least 48 hours.
- When they are dry, place them in a container with an airtight lid and store them, preferably in a glass jar or wrap each piece in wax paper or transparent paper.
- Although the taste of ginger is spicy and strong for some palates, especially for the little ones, these candies are great.
