Ingredients for Cheese Sauce with Pepper with Thermomix
227 grams aged cheddar cheese, chopped
227 grams smoked Gouda cheese, cut into pieces
115 grams of mayonnaise
227 grams softened cream cheese, cut into pieces
227 grams roasted red pepper, drained
1.5 grams garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
1.5 grams instant mustard (1/2 teaspoon)
Cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
6 grams of dried parsley (optional)
Preparation of cheese sauce with pepper with Thermomix
Grate the cheeses:
Place the cheddar cheese and Gouda cheese in pieces in the Thermomix container. Program 10 seconds / speed 7 until they are well grated.
Remove the grated cheeses and set them aside.
Mix the ingredients:
Without having to wash the glass, add the cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder and mustard powder. Program 30 seconds / speed 4, so that the ingredients are integrated.
Add the peppers:
Add the roasted red peppers to the glass. Program 10 seconds / speed 4, to distribute the peppers well in the mixture.
Add the grated cheeses:
Add the grated cheeses back to the glass. If you like a spicy touch, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Program 30 seconds / speed 3, so that all the ingredients are mixed well.
Optional: soften the mixture:
If you want a smoother texture, you can add the dried parsley and mix for 10 seconds / speed 3.
Repose:
Remove the mixture from the glass and place it in an airtight container. Refrigerate it for at least an hour (preferably overnight) so the flavors integrate better.
Serve:
Before serving, stir the sauce well and, if desired, add a little more chopped roasted pepper or parsley as a garnish.
Serve the sauce with vegetables, tortilla chips, crackers or your favorite side. Enjoy!
