Air Fryer Crispy Feta Nuggets
🧂 1 tablespoon plain flour
🌶 1 teaspoon onion powder
🌶 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes
🥚 1 egg
🍞 60 ml panko-type breadcrumbs
🌱 60 ml sesame seeds
🧀 180 g traditional Lemnos feta cheese, cut into 2 cm cubes
🌿 Chopped fresh chives, to serve
🍯 60 ml barbecue sauce
🍏 1 ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
🌶 ½ teaspoon dried chili flakes
Mix the flour, onion powder and chili flakes in a bowl. Salt and pepper to taste.
Beat the egg in another bowl.
In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the sesame seeds.
Working in batches, dredge the feta cubes first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb-sesame mixture. Place them on a plate without crowding them.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
Arrange the feta cubes in a single layer in the basket.
Cook during 6 minutesuntil golden and crispy.
Mix all the barbecue sauce ingredients in a bowl: barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar and chili flakes. Adjust to taste.
