Apple Bites Ingredients
- 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
- 2 tablespoons jam of your choice (mine peach)
- 1 large or 2 small apples
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Juice of half a lemon
- Egg beaten with half a teaspoon of cinnamon
- laminated almonds
- Sugar glass
Preparation of apple bites
- Peel and cut the apple into cubes
- Sprinkle with the brown sugar, and add the lemon juice
- We put a frying pan on the fire, add the butter, when it begins to melt, add the apples.
- Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until the liquid evaporates and the apple is soft.
- Transfer to a bowl and let cool
- We turn on the oven at 200°C / heat up and down
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet, spread it a little with the help of a rolling pin, divide it in half, spread the jam in one of the halves, and spread the apple.
- We close with the other half of dough.
- Close the edges with the help of a fork.
- Divide into 14 strips, cutting with a knife or pizza cutter.
- Each strip, twist it and join in a shell. You can leave them on the oven tray lined with baking paper, or in rigid muffin tins, previously brushed with release spray, or failing that, sunflower oil.
- Brush with the beaten egg and cinnamon. We spread almond slices on the surface.
- We bake about 20/25 min
- Turn off, remove, and let cool on a rack.
- Once cool, sprinkle with icing sugar
- THE ONLY LEFT IS TO ENJOY, GOOD APPRECIATION
