Gin Tonic Ice Cream Ingredients with Thermomix
1 splash of gin (adjust according to preference)
1 glass of tonic
2 lemons or limes
1 glass of water (approximately 150 ml)
Sugar: 2 large tablespoons (for the syrup and cream)
200 ml liquid whipping cream
Strawberries or lime to decorate
Preparation of Gin Tonic Ice Cream with Thermomix
Step 1: Prepare the Syrup
Place the water and sugar in the Thermomix glass.
Program at 100°C, speed 2 for 4 minutes.
Let the syrup cool in a separate container.
Step 2: Grate the Lemon or Lime Rind
Wash the lemons or limes thoroughly and grate the rind with a fine grater.
Reserve the zest for later.
Step 3: Prepare the Liquid Mixture
Squeeze the lemons or limes and pour the juice into the Thermomix glass.
Add the gin, tonic and the already tempered syrup.
Mix for 10 seconds at speed 3.
Step 4: Whip the Cream
Place the butterfly on the Thermomix blades.
Pour the liquid cream and sugar (to taste) into the glass.
Program at speed 3 until the cream is semi-whipped (creamy consistency).
Step 5: Add the Cream to the Mixture
With the butterfly still on the blades, program at speed 2.
Gradually add the gin, juice and tonic mixture to the semi-whipped cream.
Mix for about 30-40 seconds until everything is combined.
Step 6: Add the Lemon or Lime Zest
Remove the butterfly and add the lemon or lime zest to the mixture.
Mix gently with a spatula to distribute evenly.
Step 7: Freeze the Ice Cream
Option 1: With refrigerator
Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Then, place the mixture in the refrigerator and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for approximately 40 minutes until you achieve the desired consistency.
Option 2: Without Refrigerator
Pour the mixture into a container with a lid and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Take out the container and beat the mixture with a whisk or a fork to break up the ice crystals.
Repeat this process every 20 minutes about two or three times to achieve a creamier texture.
