Without forgetting that this species of fish is one of those that contains less fat, so in addition to the above, this dish is completely healthy, ideal for a low-calorie diet.
Here in Spain it is typical to eat it fresh, grilled, “a la Navarra”, smoked and baked; and in some cases canned, such as pickled trout. However, the recipe that we show today has a different way of cooking, with our Thermomix and its varoma container.
Cooking in the thermomix with the varoma is the same as steaming, the food preserves its proteins and the flavors are concentrated.

Ingredients of trout fillets with green beans with thermomix
- 500 grams of trout fillets
- 300 grams of green beans
- 500 grams of water
- 2 lemons
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation of trout fillets with green beans with thermomix
- Extract the skin (zest) from 1 lemon and then the juice and cut the other into thin slices (we will use the latter at the end of the preparation to decorate the dish).
- Wash the green beans very well with plenty of water, then wrap them in non-stick paper but first lightly salt and pepper and place them in the varoma tray of the thermomix.
- On the other hand, in the varoma container of the thermomix place the trout fillets, sprinkle or pour the lemon juice, then salt, pepper and finally the grated lemon peel.
- Place both the varoma container and the tray in their respective positions and program.

- At the end of the cooking time, remove both varoma containers very carefully so as not to burn yourself with the vapors.
- Pour a bed of green beans in a bowl or on each diner’s plate and place the trout fillets on them, place a couple of lemon slices on the fillets and serve with a rich sauce of your choice.
