Ingredients of spicy tomato and jalapeño sauce (Thermomix)
- 400 g of tomatoes cut into cubes
- 280 g of tomatoes with chiles
- 50 g of onion, thick minced (1/2 small onion)
- 1 garlic clove (approx. 5 g), peeled and crushed
- 1/2-1 Jalapeño (approx. 10-20 g), with or without seeds (to taste)
- 5 g of honey (1 teaspoon)
- 2.5 g of salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- 1 g of ground cumin (1/4 teaspoon)
- 10-15 g of fresh coriander, washing (a small or medium handful)
- 1 lime juice (approx. 20-30 ml)
Preparation of spicy tomato and jalapeño sauce (Thermomix)
- Preparation:
- Pela and itch the onion in thick pieces.
- Wash the coriander and jalapeño. If you prefer less spicy, remove the seeds from the jalapeño.
- Crush:
- Place in the Thermomix vessel: onion, garlic, jalapeño, coriander, honey, salt, cumin and lime juice.
- Crush 5 sec / vel 7 to finely chop the ingredients.
- Add the tomatoes:
- Add the tomatoes cut into cubes and tomatoes with chiles (Rotel).
- Mix 10-15 SEG / VEL 4 until you get the desired consistency. If you prefer a more liquid sauce, crush a little more.
- Adjust seasoning:
- Try the sauce and adjust the salt, the spicy or the lime juice to taste.
