Ingredients for Salmon Ceviche with Thermomix
500 grams of fresh salmon
2 lemons
1 red onion
1 red bell pepper
1 green pepper
1 bunch of coriander
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation of Salmon Ceviche with Thermomix
Prepare the ingredients: Begin by washing the fresh salmon. Then cut it into small cubes and put it in a separate bowl. Next, squeeze the lemons to obtain their fresh juice and reserve it.
Chop the vegetables: Peel and finely chop the red onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and yellow pepper (if you decide to use it). Also chop the coriander into small pieces. If you prefer a less spicy version, you can remove the seeds from the chili pepper before chopping it.
Mix the ingredients: Place the salmon in the glass of your Thermomix and program the machine at speed 2, at a temperature of 0°C, for 2 minutes. This will help to lightly marinate the fish in the lemon juice and give it a firmer texture.
Add the vegetables and seasonings: Add the red onion, red pepper, green pepper and yellow pepper to the Thermomix glass. Also add the chopped cilantro, salt and pepper to taste. Program speed 3, / 1 minute. In this way, all the ingredients will be mixed and the flavors will be enhanced.
Add the optional sides: If you want to add some traditional sides to your salmon ceviche, such as cooked corn, cooked sweet potato, and cancha, now is the time to do so. You can place them on a separate plate and serve them together with the ceviche.
Rest and refrigeration: Once you have finished preparing the salmon ceviche, it is important to let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to blend and the fish to marinate properly in the lemon juice.
Serve and enjoy: After resting in the refrigerator, remove the salmon ceviche and serve on individual plates or in a sharing platter. You can decorate it with a few sprigs of fresh cilantro and, if you wish, add a little more salt and pepper to taste. Your salmon ceviche is ready to be tasted!
