Today we bring a recipe that although it is ideal to drink in summer, I like to drink it throughout the year. It is an almond horchata with a touch of lemon and cinnamon, it is a real delight.
It is very easy to make and with our Thermomix in a few minutes we will have it ready

Almond horchata ingredients with thermomix
200 grams raw almonds
150 grams sugar
the skin of a lemon (only the yellow part)
1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder.
500 grams water
300 grams of ice
Preparation of almond horchata with thermomix
The first thing we will do to make our almond horchata will be to put the sugar in our Thermomix bowl and pulverize it
30 seconds / progressive speed 8-9-10
add the lemon peel (only the yellow part because if we add part of the white part it will make it bitter) and the cinnamon and blend everything again
40 seconds / progressive speed 7-8-9
Add the almonds and grind once more
30 seconds / progressive speed 8-9-10
Add the water and ice and program
3 minutes / progressive speed 8-9-10
our almond horchata will be ready, although if we don’t like to find absolutely nothing we could strain it, although I like it as it is
when serving it in glasses we can put a little cinnamon powder on top if you are a cinnamon lover like me
