The recipe I share is so simple that even a child can make it, and for sure he will be so delighted that he will want to make it again and again.
Caramel spread is a delicacy, par excellence one of the richest and most irresistible sweets that exist. We usually buy it at the supermarket but it is very easy to prepare it at home and it will be the main ingredient for a delicious caramel spread milkshake with Thermomix.

- Homemade caramel spread:
- 1 liter of milk
- 200 grams of cream
- 120 grams of white sugar
- 10 grams of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- Milkshake:
- 300 grams of homemade caramel spread
- 400 grams of milk
- 200 grams of cream
- 6 egg yolks
- 50 grams of sugar
- To decorate:
- Caramelized nuts
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup
Instructions
- First of all take into account the preparation time, although it is simple to make, it requires waiting time, cooking the caramel spread for about 1 hour and refrigerating the mixture for a good result, at least 12 hours in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the caramel spread yourself, adding 1 liter of milk, 200 grams of cream, both types of sugar, the spoon of honey and the spoon of vanilla in the thermomix. Place the basket on the lid so that the steam comes out, program. 1 hour / Varoma temperature / speed 5
- Once ready, you will notice that the preparation reduces the volume by about half and the texture is creamy and darker in color, it will take better body when refrigerated.
- Reserve until making the smoothie.
- To prepare the milkshake, add 400 grams of milk, 200 grams of cream, the 6 egg yolks, another 50 grams of sugar in the thermomix mixing bowl, program. 5 minutes / Temperature 90°/ speed 3
- Immediately incorporate 3oo grams of caramel spread, program. 20 seconds / Speed 1
- Place all the mixture in an airtight mold or container suitable for refrigerator lined with cling film and freeze for at least 12 hours.
- To serve, remove the preparation from the refrigerator, let stand a few minutes at room temperature, then cut into pieces and add to the thermomix, program. 30 seconds / Speed 8
Serve in individual ice cream cups, decorate with a little whipped cream, sprinkle a little caramelized and chopped nuts and if it is to your taste also add a few strands of chocolate syrup.
