Ingredients for Pepper and Walnut Dip with Thermomix
200 g walnuts
1 jar (720 ml) canned roasted peppers, drained
2 cloves of garlic
1 bunch thyme, leaves only
1 tablespoon pepper paste
1 teaspoon chili flakes
1 teaspoon honey
1 pinch of cumin
1 tablespoon lemon juice
approx. 6 tablespoons olive oil
salt to taste
approx. 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
Preparation of Pepper and Walnut Dip with Thermomix
Toast the nuts:
Place the walnuts in the Thermomix glass and program 7 minutes / Varoma / reverse rotation / speed 1, without oil.
Remove the toasted nuts and set them aside.
Prepare the main mixture:
In the clean glass, add the roasted peppers, garlic cloves, thyme leaves, pepper paste, chili flakes, honey, cumin, lemon juice, 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
Blend for 30 seconds / speed 5, scraping down the remains of the walls with the spatula.
Add the walnuts and breadcrumbs:
Add the toasted walnuts to the glass (reserving some for decoration) and 1-2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
Blend everything for 10 seconds / speed 5. If you prefer a softer texture, you can blend for a few more seconds.
Presentation:
Serve the dip in a container. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil and garnish with the reserved walnuts.
