Winter is approaching, bringing with it an increase in viruses due to the seasonal change. To prevent illness and boost immunity, we’re sharing a recipe for Turmeric Antivirus Smoothie using the Thermomix.
½ teaspoon of coconut oil (or another high-quality oil, such as flaxseed oil)
½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of honey/agave syrup/maple syrup for sweetness (optional)
Instructions
For easy and quick preparation of this Turmeric Antivirus Smoothie, pour the ginger and turmeric (peeled and cut into pieces) into the Thermomix bowl, and program:
20 seconds / Speed 10
Once you have a puree from these two roots, strain it through a sieve or strainer. Pour the strained ginger and turmeric mix back into the Thermomix bowl, and add the freshly squeezed juices of lemons, limes, and oranges, along with the coconut oil, pepper, and, if you want to sweeten, add honey. Program:
*10 seconds / Speed 3.
Pour this smoothie into a bottle with a lid for refrigerated storage, for only 5 days. Take a shot glass of it every day.
