For this week’s breakfasts and snacks, I have prepared some mojicones with a touch of anise, this one is completely optional if the little ones are going to eat them. Mojicon, is nothing more than to wet,,, that’s its meaning, mojicones are cupcake type in XL format., originally from Castilla la Mancha.
I wanted to give them a different touch, adding the anise is the typical sponge cake to dip in your favorite drink. I hope you like them and I encourage you to make them.
We love them at home.

Ingredients of Mojicones to the touch of anis with thermomix
- 375 grams flour wheat
- 1 about chemical yeast (Royal type)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 7 eggs (M)
- 250 grams sugar
- 110 grams melted butter
- 50 ml anise + 20 ml water (60 ml of water, if you dispense with anise)
- Glass sugar for finishing
Preparation of Mojicones to the touch of anis with thermomix
- With these quantities I have got 10 pieces.
- My flannels are wider, if you use others that are narrower and a little higher than mine, you will get more pieces.
- We start by sifting the dried ones (flour and yeast)
- 15 seconds / speed 6
- we set aside a bowl and booked
- Butterfly on blades, eggs and sugar in a glass
- 5 minutes / 37°C / speed 3’5
- then, same time and speed but no temperature.
- Add the melted butter and the liquor and water, 40 seconds / speed 3.
- Remove the butterfly and add the reserved dried ones along with the lemon zest
- 8 seconds / speed 4.
- Grease the flannels and place 2 strips of baking paper on each of them.(We will do this for greater comfort, at the time of unmolding.
- Pour in the 3/4 parts of dough.
- We give a few light taps against the table to remove possible air bubbles.
- Oven previously preheated to 190°, heat up and down
- We baked some
- 25 minutes / after checking the stick , this one comes out clean.
- Turn off and remove to cool on a wire rack.
- They unmold very well, it is enough to pull each strip of paper.
- Once cold, sprinkle with icing sugar…
