Preparation of How to make your own sliding board for your thermomix in an easy and cheap way
Select cutting board: Choose a cutting board that is large enough to hold your Thermomix securely. It must be stable and robust. The measurements usually range from those already made for sale, the length should be what you see for your kitchen, the width usually ranges between 30 and 40 cm normally.
Attach furniture wheels: Place the cutting board on a flat surface. Place the furniture casters on the four corners of the cutting board. Make sure they are evenly distributed and do not overhang the edges. Mark the wheel bolt hole positions with a pencil.
Drill the holes: If necessary, drill small holes at the marked points to facilitate screwing and avoid damaging the cutting board material.
Fix furniture wheels: Screw the wheels into the marked spots. Make sure all the screws are tightened so the wheels are secure.
Prove: Place your Thermomix on the cutting board with the wheels attached. Check that the base slides easily and that the wheels roll evenly.
Final finish: Optional: You can sand the edges of the cutting board to make them smoother.
Optional: Use felt protectors or rubber pads on the bottom of the wheels to avoid scratching your kitchen surface.
Additional tips: If you want to make the base even more stable, you can place a non-slip mat between the Thermomix and the cutting board.
Make sure that the furniture wheels have a sufficient load capacity to support the weight of the Thermomix.
