- 5 limes cut lengthwise, without the pith and without the seeds
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 5 tablespoons white or brown sugar (according to your preference)
- 250 grams of cassava (Brazilian brandy) or white rum
- Ice cubes

Preparation of Caipirinha or caipirinha with Thermomix
- Have at hand the glasses where you will serve the drink (preferably short glasses), the ingredients can be mixed in the same glass where you will present it or also in a shaker, you just have to add sugar and some pieces of lime.
- Mix all the ingredients very well. For this, you can use the mallet that the mortars have, especially if it is made of wood, which will allow you to crush everything correctly and get all the essence and flavor of the limes.
- Incorporate the lemon juice and a measure of cassava or Brazilian brandy into the mixture, stir everything.
- In turn, place the ice cubes in the Thermomix bowl to crush, program.
- 20 seconds/ Speed 5.
- Add the mixture of sugar, limes, lemon juice and cassava in the glass of your choice to serve, leave the crushed limes in the bottom and also add the crushed ice up to the top of the glass.
- Stir again and check the level of alcohol or acidity.
